Today, September 26, is World Contraception Day, dedicated creating “a world where every pregnancy is wanted”  by improving  contraception awareness so women make truly informed choices on their sexual and reproductive health. Margaret Sanger, one of the founders of the International Planned Parenthood Federation in  1952, would have been both proud and appalled. Proud because efforts to globalize the birth control movement continue to expand and are being celebrated, but appalled that so much work still needs to be done while opposition to birth control remains so intractable.

The IPPF blog  published two blogs worth reading: “Crazy About Contraception (One Way or Another)”  published in association with RH Reality and World Contraception Day: Myths, Rumors, and Rubbish
